MEET THE OWNERS. Todd and Megan Omlid proudly reside in Redmond, Oregon with their four children, ranging in age from two to eighteen. They share a passion for construction, and both strongly believe that there's no greater reward than being of service to someone. Todd’s service began in the military as soon as he was old enough to enlist. He spent twelve years leading soldiers in combat infantry training and completed four tours of duty overseas. It’s no coincidence that Todd later built his career in an industry of service. Todd is known for his anonymous driveway snow plowing and impromptu tows for broken down vehicles. Todd’s love for building things, helping people and solving problems adds to his aptitude of maintaining strong relationships with his team and clients. Megan has a diverse background in real estate development, design and marketing. Her commitment to relationships and compassion — from family to employees to animals — contributes to her pursuit of making a positive impact. Megan is known for bringing home the occasional stray animal, or two, or three. Todd had the foresight to see property would be a necessity to accommodate Megan’s love for critters, and the two developed a farm to call home.

Todd and Megan’s shared interest in construction led to the inception of their company. What started as a build/design concept refined into a trade specialty. They fell in love with the entire excavation process and decided to direct their focus solely on that aspect. The Omlid’s think of excavation not as a single practice, but as the baseline for success. “The core of a building rests on the quality of work beneath it. It’s not just about earthwork; it’s what the structure relies on to withhold its integrity and withstand time. The success of these structures depends on it,” stated Todd. As a family-owned & veteran-owned business, Baseline approaches each project with dedication, honor and an unwavering devotion to their core values. Serving clients with purpose and integrity has been the foundation of the company since its inception. Baseline strives for honesty and clarity and values timeliness and direct communication. By keeping client's needs foremost, and developing project teams that do the same, Baseline Excavation ensures project success. “Do a good job for someone and they will tell a few people. Do someone a poor job and they will tell many.” This famous quote is a motto that is firmly grounded in Baseline. The Omlid's demonstrate consistent effort and refuse to compromise on quality or the honorable reputation that precedes their company’s name.
